We encourage you to explore some of the advanced dental technology and techniques we utilize in our Jupiter dental office below.

Laser Dentistry

Our office is equipped with two dental lasers that have a variety of functions and different features to help improve and preserve your oral health. Some of these include:

  • Laser Crown Removal: We can effortlessly dissolve the cement underneath an old or compromised dental crown to take it off in one piece with our dental laser. Not only is it more comfortable, but no drilling will be necessary.
  • Laser Decay Removal: Cavities are one of the most common dental health concerns in the world, estimated to impact nearly everybody at some point in their life. Our laser can kill bacteria in hard-to-reach areas of the mouth without the need for local anesthesia and collateral numbness in some cases.
  • Laser Periodontal Therapy: Gum disease is the result of an infection of the soft oral tissues, ultimately compromising the stability and health of your teeth without proper treatment. Laser periodontal therapy can be used to disinfect the pockets of the gums after a deep cleaning and even removed severely damaged tissue with less discomfort and more effectiveness.

Digital Dental Impression System

Dental patient having digital impressions taken of her teeth

Messy, gag-inducing dental molds weren’t as efficient and comfortable as we would have liked, which is why we invested in our iTero and CEREC Omnicam digital impression systems. These allows us to effortlessly capture a 3D digital blueprint of your smile to help us craft same-day crowns, dentures, bridges, mouthguards, and more.

The OralID® Diagnostic System

Dental patient receiving an oral cancer screening

We use the OralID diagnostic system, which detects tissue abnormalities using light fluorescence. The process is comfortable, non-invasive, and completed in a matter of minutes. The handheld device illuminates the oral tissues, and abnormalities can be detected by color variations in the light. In addition to oral cancer, OralID screening can detect tissue abnormalities that indicate other oral diseases.

3D Printed Oral Appliances

Two 3 D printed models of the teeth

We work with a dental laboratory that utilizes a 3D printer to provide us with custom surgical guides, appliances to help treat TMJ discomfort, and more. Not only does this technique allow us to offer faster turnaround times for certain treatments, but it’s also incredibly precise!

Computer-Guided Dental Implant Surgery

Our 3D printed dental implant surgical guides bring a new level of precision to implant placement. The guide will be designed to match your unique oral structure and help Dr. Rodriguez precisely place your implant posts to ensure lasting, stable results.

Cavity Detection System

Close up of a decayed tooth

Our CariVu cavity detection system illuminates signs of dental decay to help our dentists clearly and easily identify whether fillings, dental sealants, or other cavity prevention methods are necessary. It utilizes near infrared light to make the enamel translucent; however, upon being shone on porous areas affected by signs of decay, the light will become absorbed and look black, signaling the need for intervention.

Digital Dental X-Rays

X rays of several teeth

We use Dexis and digital Panorex X-ray systems. They deliver superb image quality with optimal efficiency and patient comfort, while minimizing radiation exposure.

Intraoral Camera

Now you can see what we’re seeing. These tiny cameras fit comfortably in your mouth and transmit images to a large computer screen for improved diagnostics and patient education.

Our intraoral camera is small-- about the size of the mirror we use during your regular hygiene appointments. You probably wouldn’t even notice we’re using it, except that with the intraoral camera you have the opportunity to see everything we see on a monitor.

This is a great tool to help you become more informed about your dental health because it gives you a clear understanding of your teeth’s condition and allows you to make a more informed decision regarding your treatment options.
