Athletic Mouthguards / Sportsguards
A mouthguard is a removable appliance worn to protect your mouth from injury caused by impact. Although mouthguards are commercially available and sold at most sporting goods stores, a custom-made appliance designed at the dental office can provide optimal protection because it is custom-molded to your teeth and generally a thicker material than a store bought, pre-made, or boil-n-bite device.

Silver Diamine Fluoride
When cavities strike, our team can take a minimally invasive approach to treating them with silver diamine fluoride (SDF). If we notice the signs of decay on your child’s tooth, all we’ll need to do is brush the SDF over the top of it to arrest the cavity and provide the tooth with extra protection from future threats. SDF is excellent for children, as it provides a less invasive alternative to tooth-colored fillings.
Nitrous Oxide for Children
Dental care can sometimes be stressful for younger or more anxious children. Dr. Rodriguez and the rest of our team always go the extra mile to create a comfortable environment for kids, but nitrous oxide can offer some extra help! Also known as “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is inhaled through a mask and takes effect within minutes. It’s very safe and calming; your son or daughter won’t even need any recovery time afterwards.
